Why join the DAR?

If you would like the opportunity to participate in programs and projects in the community for students and service to veterans, than this is the organization for you.
The Kikthawenund Chapter welcomes any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, death, as well as of the Revolutionary War Service of her Patriot ancestor. A Revolutionary War patriot may be someone who served in the American military or who gave their time, resources, or services in the fight for independence.

If you’re unsure of where to begin, we can help. We help you through the application process, including genealogical research. Our registrar is willing to assist you and answer any questions that your may have.

We welcome visitors at all meetings. Come meet us and learn more about our chapter and what we do. Please email us about attending one of our chapter meetings or complete the prospective member information request form.
